Behavior Modification

Behavior modification services at Feel At Home Special School are designed to help individuals develop adaptive behaviors, learn new skills, and achieve positive behavior change. Our behavior modification programs are grounded in principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and tailored to address a wide range of behavioral challenges, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and developmental disabilities.

Our behavior modification interventions are individualized and evidence-based, focusing on:

1. Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA): We conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the underlying factors contributing to problem behaviors and develop a thorough understanding of the antecedents, triggers, and consequences of those behaviors.
2. Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) Development: Based on the results of the FBA, we design personalized behavior intervention plans that outline specific strategies, techniques, and supports to address target behaviors and promote positive alternatives.
3. Positive Reinforcement: We utilize positive reinforcement strategies to increase desired behaviors and motivate individuals to engage in appropriate actions, using rewards, praise, and incentives to reinforce positive behavior.
4. Skill-Building Activities: We teach individuals alternative behaviors, coping skills, and adaptive strategies to replace problem behaviors and promote independence, self-regulation, and social competence.
5. Environmental Modifications: We modify the environment to support positive behavior change, removing triggers for problem behaviors and creating structured, supportive settings conducive to learning and growth.
